About Erynn Perkins
Erynn D. Perkins is an emerging world changer and visionary leader who yearns to be the voice of his generation and generations to come. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Perkins has spent most of his life in Los Angeles, California, where he was raised by his mother alongside his twin sister. His humble beginnings and firm upbringing shaped him into the grounded yet driven man he is today. Perkins combines faith, conviction, and compassion in his pursuit to impact the world for the better.
From an early age, Perkins was introduced to the church, where he fell deeply in love with God. Finding refuge in Jesus Christ became the defining catalyst for his life’s mission and ultimately led him into ministry. This early foundation not only nurtured his faith but also sparked an innate desire to stand apart, lead boldly, and influence change that endures for generations to come.
His path toward leadership began through civic engagement, public policy, and community activism. Perkins became actively involved in the California Model Legislature & Court, where he made history as the 68th Chief Clerk of the Assembly and the 69th Secretary of the Senate. During his tenure, he wrote legislation and lobbied for bills at the California State Capitol, experiences that ignited his confidence to speak truth to power and to use his voice as an agent of justice and transformation.
Throughout his journey, Perkins has had the distinct honor of meeting and learning from some of the nation’s most influential figures including former Governor Jerry Brown, Vice President Kamala Harris, President Barack Obama, Judge Mablean Ephraim, and the late Congressman John Lewis. These encounters not only deepened his appreciation for leadership and service but also reinforced his belief that purpose, preparation, and persistence can change the course of communities and history alike.
Today, Perkins still serves as the President of Progress Protection Agency, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting young men, strengthening families, and breaking generational cycles across urban communities. Through initiatives such as the Save Our Sons Campaign and the Save Our Sons Gala, he has created powerful platforms for mentorship, education, and community restoration by mobilizing others to take part in transforming lives.
A minister, strategist, and motivational speaker, Perkins continues to inspire through his authentic storytelling and transparent leadership. His work bridges ministry and community, faith and action, vision and impact. He often shares that his goal is not only to speak to people’s minds but also to reach their hearts.
Through his life and leadership, Erynn D. Perkins embodies what it means to rise above circumstance, to lead with faith, and to create pathways for others to follow. He is a living example that humble beginnings can birth world changers and that one voice, rooted in purpose, can echo for generations to come.
